The aim of this 6-week Employability Course is to support learners who are seeking work by developing the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to access and sustain employment.Learning outcomes include:
Discuss the UK job market and identify realistic employment goals based on their skills and experience
Create a clear, effective CV and application letter that highlight strengths and transferable skills
Prepare for job interviews by practising common interview questions, appropriate responses, and professional behaviour
Develop effective communication skills for the workplace, including speaking, listening, and customer care
Explain the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and how to behave respectfully and professionally
Build confidence in personal presentation, teamwork, and problem-solving at work
Produce a Personal Development Plan (PDP) to set short- and long-term employment goals and identify next steps toward work, training, or further learning
This course will run – every Tuesday – 3rd November – 8th December 2026
This course is open to learners aged 19 years plus (in August ’26) who are looking for work
