About this Event
Join us for a special screening of Get Out as part of the Hidden Beach Summer of Culture.
Written and directed by Jordan Peele, Get Out is a groundbreaking psychological thriller that masterfully blends suspense, horror and social commentary. Starring Daniel Kaluuya, the film follows Chris, a young Black photographer whose seemingly ordinary weekend visit to meet his girlfriend's family takes an increasingly disturbing and unexpected turn.
Clever, gripping and deeply thought-provoking, the film explores themes of race, identity, power and belonging through sharp writing, unforgettable performances and masterful storytelling. Acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, Get Out redefined modern horror and sparked important conversations about prejudice, perception and society.
Following the screening, guests are invited to stay for an informal Film + Conversation session, offering the opportunity to reflect on the film's themes, share perspectives and discuss its lasting cultural impact.
This event is part of Hidden Beach's Film + Conversation Night series, celebrating films that inspire conversation, creativity and cultural understanding.
