On Saturday, October 17, from 5 PM to 7 PM, the United Church of Christ in Bismarck warmly invites the community to its annual German Supper and Quilt Raffle, held at 1200 E Highland Acres Rd. This beloved event brings neighbors together around a table of hearty, homemade Germans from Russia cuisine and shared purpose. A handmade quilt will be raffled off for $10 per raffle ticket.What to Expect:
Guests will enjoy a homemade menu crafted with care, featuring:
- Fleischkuekle – savory meat-filled pastries
- Vegetarian Borscht – a vibrant beet-based soup
- German Potato Salad
- Cole Slaw
- Fresh Bread
- Kuchen – classic dessert to end the meal sweetly
Whether you're a longtime fan of Germans from Russia cooking or simply curious to try something new, this supper offers a delicious and welcoming experience.
Who Should Come:
Everyone is welcome—families, individuals, newcomers, and longtime residents alike. The event is designed to be inclusive and accessible, with ticket pricing that reflects a commitment to hospitality:
Adults: $20
Children (ages 5–12. Half a Fleischkuekle): $10
Children 4 and under: Free
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Bismarck UCC, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, or at the door on the day of the event.
