About this Event
The morning before the Chicago Marathon is an important one. ‘Shakeout Saturday’ is a day when hundreds of racers converge with a shared feeling of excitement and anticipation. While brands usually will be the once hosting runs, we wanted to bring together runners and community members across Chicago and beyond with a 5km shakeout run and speaker event. Our slate of speakers will include individuals and organizations that are working on issues like immigrant rights, urban planning issues, and climate justice.
We feel passionately about connecting runners with the intersectional nature of community, movement, and advocacy– we hope you’ll collaborate with us on this important cause!
