Did you know that alligators are one of the keystone species in Florida? Join us for the last day of Nature Discovery Week on Wednesday, November 25 from 10AM – 2PM in the GiveWell Community Foundation Nature Center and along the Nature Pathway for a day of alligator- themed fun! Start the day with a live show from Gatorland! Learn about their wetlands habitats with our friends from Circle B and explore replicas with Colt Creek State Park. Meet artists from the Polk State Art Department, enjoy a mini art walk, and create your own alligator themed piece of artwork! At 11AM particpate in the Kid’s Gator Dash and finish with an obstacle course challenge. Leave with more knowledge about the vital role these fierce reptiles play in our local ecosystems as well as safety and protections to follow. This event is free and open to guests of all ages with adult supervision.
