Jazz vocalist Gary Brumburgh and trumpeter Nolan Shaheed bring the horn and voice of Chet Baker (1929-1988) lovingly to life in this retrospective celebrating the timeless West Coast sounds of the “Prince of Cool.” The program follows the two sides Baker was known for … the spare, unhurried trumpet lines and the unguarded singing through the ballads and standards that solidified his name and status. The pair are joined by Brad Bietry on keys, Gabe Davis on bass and Kendall Kay on drums.
