Join us for the day to build a bench for the Community Centre garden. At the same time learn from the Woodshop of Recycled Delights' how to use hand and power tools to build with reclaimed wooden pallets.
Perfect for total beginners!
The event is free but we ask you to pay a returnable deposit and booking priority will be given to local residents
In this workshop, you'll learn:
- The environmental impact of timber waste, and how you can help!
- How to work safely with wood, and take apart and reuse pallets
- Getting started with timber tools: know what to use and how!
- Drill Skills - learn how to confidently use these power tools
- Basic design principles for woodworking
- Get to make a unique pallet storage seat for our community garden!
Through plenty of practical hands-on time to practice, you'll learn about the environmental impact of timber waste, and how you can help our planet while constructing useful and joyful projects!
