A world of wonder awaits when you step into the fascinating realm of fungi. This guided walk is perfect for anyone who wants to improve on their knowledge about fungi. Focus on improving ID skills, still suitable for all.
We'll meet at beautiful locations across Dartmoor (please check dates for locations) where you'll have the chance to slow down, connect with nature, and discover the hidden lives of fungi. Along the way, you'll learn the essentials for identifying different species, including a few that have traditional culinary and medicinal uses.
We'll move at a relaxed pace with plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion, and discovery. To round off our time together, we'll gather for a warming cup of mushroom tea and a chance to share reflections from the day.
This is primarily a no-pick foray, allowing us to appreciate and protect these precious natural treasures. Group foraging is often unsustainable, so we'll also explore responsible foraging practices and how to build a respectful, reciprocal relationship with the fungi and landscapes around us.
