The FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) Version 2.0 Participant Course is coming to Ames!
The Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation is designed to help ensure the safe manufacturing, processing, packing and holding of food for human consumption in the United States. The regulation requires certain food safety activities to be completed or overseen by a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI).
Successfully completing this course is one way to meet the training requirements for a PCQI. Developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), this course uses the standardized curriculum recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Who should attend?
This course is designed for individuals responsible for performing or overseeing the preparation and implementation of a facility’s food safety plan, including professionals working in food safety, quality assurance, production, operations and regulatory compliance.
Participants will learn from experienced food safety professionals, including Dr. Jim Dickson, Professor Emeritus of Animal Science at Iowa State University, and Hannah Hansen, Food Safety Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
