Hike for Hope: Suicide Prevention AwarenessJoin The Fitness Social Club CT and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) on Saturday, October 10, for a meaningful 10-mile loop hike promoting mental health, community connection, and suicide-prevention awareness.
We’ll meet at 8:00 AM in the Stop & Shop/Panera Bread parking lot at 2335 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. We’ll stretch at 8:15 AM and begin hiking promptly at 8:30 AM. The hike should take approximately two to three hours and follows mostly easy terrain.
Bring plenty of water and snacks. Children and leashed pets are welcome! Invite your family and friends—we’d love to bring together more than 100 walkers for this important cause.
After the hike, AFSP representatives will share suicide-prevention resources and information about the New Haven/Hamden Out of the Darkness Walk on Sunday, October 4.
