What happens after you build a successful company, sell it, and suddenly have the freedom to decide what comes next?
On October 6, the Rotary Club of Vancouver welcomes Catherine Dahl and Reza Sanaie, two of the co-founders of Beanworks, for a candid conversation about entrepreneurship, the experience of a major exit, and their decision to build together again with Proper.
Beanworks began in Vancouver in 2012 and was acquired by global enterprise company Quadient in 2021 for $104 million. After the acquisition, Catherine and Reza each took different paths through investing, mentoring, board work and advising other leaders before returning to entrepreneurship.
In conversation with Navid Morawej, President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, they’ll reflect on what they learned the first time around, how their perspective on success has evolved, and what they’re doing differently as they start again.
