Avec une esthétique mêlant hip-hop old school, trip hop et jazz, le duo Frizzy P & Mr Cole impose son empreinte sonore bien particulière sur la scène indépendante. Avec sincérité et talent, il révèle une musique intemporelle, intime et chargée d’émotion.
Frizzy P, chanteuse et auteure, et Mr Cole, compositeur et beatmaker, se rencontrent en 2015 en banlieue parisienne. L’une, marquée par un passé nomade entre Londres et la France, tire de sa double culture anglo-saxonne et française une vision unique qu’elle exprime avec une voix envoûtante entre rap et chant. L’autre, autodidacte passionné par les sons organiques, découpe inlassablement des samples qui résonnent d’âmes vintage et boom bap, tout en accordant une importance particulière à la composition. Ensemble, ils décident de conjuguer leurs talents pour donner naissance à leur projet.
A leur actif, une trilogie intitulée “Ladi Dadi” et un side-project “The Backroom Tape”. Peu à peu, à travers ces œuvres, ils se dévoilent un peu plus, laissant entrevoir toute la profondeur de leur alchimie musicale. On y retrouve une solide base trip-hop aux accents jazzy, enveloppante, hypnotique et groovy à souhait, des textes souvent introspectifs, dans lesquels l’expérience personnelle se transforme parfois en revendications et critique sociale plus large, et une énergie qui vient des tripes.

With a sound that blends old-school hip-hop, trip-hop, and jazz, the duo Frizzy P & Mr Cole is making a distinctive mark on the independent music scene. Through their sincerity and talent, they create music that is timeless, intimate, and emotionally charged.
Frizzy P, singer and songwriter, and Mr Cole, composer and beatmaker, met in 2015 in the Paris suburbs. One, marked by a nomadic past between London and France, draws from her dual Anglo-Saxon and French culture a unique vision of the musical genre, which she expresses with a bewitching voice between rap and vocals. The other, a self-taught artist with a passion for organic sounds, tirelessly cuts samples that resonate with vintage soul and boom bap, while placing particular importance on composition. Together, they decided to combine their talents to give birth to their project.
