OCTOBER 30TH PERFORMANCE: DAY OF THE DEAD, NIGHT OF THE LIVING
The dead have had their day. Tonight belongs to the living.
This October, as part of FRIGID’s Days of the Dead, NYC’s weirdest late-night variety show turns its attention to everything the dead leave behind -- and what the rest of us are supposed to do with it.
We inherit more than names, stories, and old photographs. We inherit traditions and traumas, art and arguments, systems and debts, dreams and unfinished business. For a little while, all of it is in our hands.
So what do we keep? What do we repair? What should stay buried? What do we refuse to let die? And what will we leave behind for whoever comes next?
DAY OF THE DEAD, NIGHT OF THE LIVING is a celebration of inheritance, unfinished business, possession, urgency, survival, and the strange responsibility of being alive right now.
Expect the gloriously unpredictable mix that defines FRIGID Nightcap: comedy, drag, burlesque, music, dance, theatre, performance art, and beautiful things that don’t fit neatly into any category at all.
The night ends. The world changes hands. Eventually, we become somebody else’s ancestors.
But not yet.
