Freedom to Read Fest

Welcome book lovers!

Join us for a fun celebration of reading, stories, and the freedom to explore new ideas through books. Families, children, tweens, and teens are invited to participate in a variety of interactive activities, games, and creative projects designed to inspire a love of reading. Activities may include:

• Mark It: Create Your Own Bookmark - Design and personalize your own bookmarks using stickers, stencils, markers, and other craft supplies.
• Free Book Giveaways - The first 25 children and teens to arrive will receive a FREE book that has faced challenges or restrictions in some communities and libraries.
• Book Lovers Bingo - Play bingo, discover great books, and win prizes!
• Trivia - Play a fun game of trivia that dives into the world of challenged books for a chance to win a prize
• What Books Mean to Me - Take a moment to reflect on what books bring to your life and why they matter to you.
• Rights in the Rings - Test your aim in a fun ring toss game.
• Dear Favorite Author - Write a heartfelt note to your favorite author, sharing what you love about their books.
• Photo Station - Snap a selfie and celebrate your love of reading.
• Light Bites - Enjoy some light bites while exploring the activities.
