Celebrate Texas Archaeology Month at the Magoffin Home!Looking for a fun and educational activity during intersession break? Join us at the Magoffin Home State Historic Site as we celebrate Texas Archaeology Month with a hands-on pinch pot activity perfect for children and families! Stop by our Visitor Center on October 2 or October 9 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and learn about one of the oldest pottery-making techniques used by people for thousands of years. Best of all, participation is completely free, and each child will receive a free pinch pot kit while supplies last.
This drop-in activity gives families the chance to explore creativity, connect with the past, and enjoy a meaningful morning together. Whether you're looking to fill a few hours during intersession break or simply want to introduce your child to the fascinating world of archaeology, we invite you to visit us and create your own pinch pot to take home. No reservations are required, just stop by and join the fun!
