The drop-in is run by a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), with over 5 years of experience providing lactation education and breastfeeding support. This service is non-medical: it does not provide diagnoses, treatment, procedures, or medication. The IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) and paediatricians at Milk & Honey will be recommended for more complex concerns.
A referral will be offered if…
- Your baby has significant weight concerns
- There are questions about tongue-tie
- You have symptoms of bacterial mastitis
- Your baby seems unwell
- You're experiencing significant pain that doesn't improve
- You'd like a more comprehensive assessment
