Join me for a Free Ball-Handling Clinic on November 21 from 4:00-5pm!Most players are advised to work on ball handling in isolation - what I call "Stare at the wall and pound the ball" - until you die of boredom!
We like to work on APPLIED ball handling, using a metric of ball handling effectiveness... answering the question:
WHAT IS THIS FOR?
Our whole approach is working on ball handling as a solution to a problem, and building skills downstream from decisions - and we do it using 7 specific game situations where the value of ball handling is at a premium!
By using situational context and live games to understand and apply ball handling, we can skip the boredom and get players excited to practice!
This Clinic will be covering:
Our 7 key situations
Handling 1on1 Pressure in a full court
Handling on a Fast break
Isolation off the dribble
Off the catch - scoring with 1 or 2 dribbles
Ball screen options
Dribble hand off options
Escaping a trap and defeating double teams
