🚩The Agitator's Wife – Play ReadingThursday 12th November, 7:30pm at Wexford Arts Centre.
A previously unknown, then incorrectly published short play by James Connolly, orated by RTÉ All-Ireland Best Director Paul Walsh.
The play offers a rare glimpse into the life of a woman whose husband is consumed by the fight for freedom and the irony surrounding this through exploring the sacrifices, the isolation, and the quiet resilience of those left behind.
There will be a brief contextualisation by Connolly historian Dr Conor McCabe, and it will be followed by a fruitful panel on the topics of the night, with guest speakers TBA.
