Come and meet the People of Glastonbury (PoG) group. We're having some short talks and then it's time for live music and socialising!This will be our fourth public meeting, note the different day - Friday - time - evening - and venue. We'd like to give people who can't normally attend on a Sunday afternoon a chance to join us. In our upcoming meeting we'll have short talks on:
- Mamma Village
- Mental Health Network - the gaps
- Geoengineering tbc
Then we switch mode to some amazing live music with brilliant young band Vertigo and the wonderful Strawberry with some popular covers.
We'd also welcome anyone who would like to help us in letting people know about PoG and/or supporting us during our events - setting up, packing down, refreshments prep etc. Email us at [email protected]
You are welcome to join our events and Exploration groups in whatever capacity suits you. You might want to just observe at first, or maybe help out a bit here and there, or perhaps you're passionate to jump in to an area you feel strongly about and help bring about positive change.
Maybe you have a little time and energy to give, maybe you have a lot. Maybe you're able to come to regular Exploration Group meetings, or perhaps you can only come occasionally or join by Zoom. Perhaps you'd rather do independent research and send it to the group, Maybe you have particular skills or experience to share or maybe you're unsure of how you can help and need some guidance.
However it is for you, we invite you to step up and join one or more Exploration Groups (or start your own!), make new friends, develop new skills and be creative in finding solutions to some of the issues faced in our town.
Please share this event with Glastonbury friends and neighbours - we would like to be able to serve our whole community!

People of Glastonbury
We are a new community-led organisation committed to representing the views and interests of our town’s people, fostering dialogue and facilitating positive change. We aim to reach all sections of our community to better comprehend how local people feel about key local and wider issues.
Our aim is to nurture a real community within the town and to support and encourage self-empowerment and harmonious relationships with one another, respecting any differences. Our motto: Glastonbury Voices, Glastonbury Choices!
Concerns could include:
World Heritage Status, youth provision, Town Deal, Council operations/finances, corporate planning applications and processes, 5G, antisocial behaviour, crime, parking, housing and homelessness, public transport, travellers, roads, freedom of expression, local businesses and crafts, care networking for the vulnerable, food security; and wider concerns such as data centres, solar farms, Digital ID, and Net Zero.
We are creating an open, respectful space where people can share their views, ideas, and concerns, working towards a more informed, harmonious, and united community living a healthy, happy and abundant life.
Your involvement strengthens the community voice and helps shape Glastonbury’s future.
