Discovering the "Why?" in Wine Flavour with Sunny Hodge
Forget everything you thought you knew about wine.
Join award-winning wine writer and wine bar owner Sunny Hodge for a fascinating deep dive into wine flavour, exploring not just what you're tasting, but why you're tasting it.
Inspired by Sunny’s book, The Cynic's Guide to Wine, which delves into the science behind the wine from soil upwards into our perception of taste and flavour, this interactive session blends science, storytelling, and seriously interesting wines. Expect unexpected bottles, fresh perspectives, and plenty of myth-busting from one of wine's most disruptive voices.
Hosted in the intimate Wine Bar & Restaurant on the Lower Ground Floor of Fortnum’s flagship Piccadilly store, the tasting is served alongside charcuterie nibbles and welcomes questions throughout, finishing with a Q&A and book signing.

Key Information
Books will be available to purchase on the evening and will be signed by the author with a personalised message (unable to allow books purchased outside of Fortnum and Mason).
Please arrive from 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.
Seating will be pre-allocated.
