Fire is one of humanity’s oldest tools for transformation. From forged steel and kiln-fired clay to molten silver and sculpted wax, heat is the catalyst that turns raw elements into striking fine art.
Curated by Alberta Street Gallery member Leslie McMillan, this invitational exhibition features six artists—Larry Holt, Bobby Pedersen, Cindy Caufman, John Hyland, Diane Moskowitz, and Ann Coskey—who harness extreme temperatures to bend raw materials to their vision.
Alberta Street Gallery is a friendly and vibrant cooperative art gallery of 30 Portland-area artists. We are open every day from 11am to 7pm. You can find us in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Northeast Portland. No tickets needed; just come by and enjoy the art!
