The Trees For All Public Tour explores Hoyt Arboretum from accessible paved trails. The tour loops around the Visitor Center and parking lot and then continues onto the Overlook Trail. A gentle incline leads to an optional lookout point with a (weather-permitting) view of Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Rainier. Tour highlights include oaks, beeches, native shrubs and conifers, and an overview of the conservation and community science work conducted by the Arboretum. This tour is reserved for people who are disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent, and/or have lived experience of any disability, broadly defined. Supportive family, friends, and caregivers are also welcome.
Trees For All Tours are led by trained volunteers every third Thursday and Sunday of the month at 10:00am, May through October.
Online pre-registration is required. Tour size is limited to 10 participants.
Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.
