When did you last spend time in nature with nowhere to rush to? Forest Bathing (Shinrin-yoku) is the Japanese practice of slowing down and immersing yourself in nature through all your senses. It isn’t a hike to a destination. It’s a gentle invitation to arrive, soften and simply be with nature as you are. Time among the trees has been linked to lower stress and improved wellbeing.
Join Forest Pathways at Wollongong Botanic Garden for a small group walk on Dharawal Country, led by an INFTA certified guide (International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance). We’ll wander about 1.5 km at a relaxed pace, then finish beneath the trees with a Japanese-inspired tea ceremony.
Expect gentle sensory invitations and creative nature based activities, all optional and at your own pace.
