Hey FOLKS,Friends of Lower Kenduskeag Stream (FOLKS) is an all-volunteer group that works to improve the Kenduskeag Stream Trail from Franklin St. in Downtown Bangor to Harlow Street.
We hold monthly trail days on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8:00-9:30am that meet behind Penquis on Harlow Street.
Ongoing Projects List:
1. Picking up litter
2. Painting over graffiti
3. Pruning vegetation to increase visibility
4. Removing invasive plants.
5. Raking trail and drainage ditches to slow erosion
Things we could use / volunteers should bring:
- Work Gloves, Water, Sun Screen, Bug Spray
- Pruning tools such as trail saws, loppers, and pole saws.
- Wheelbarrows
- Trash pickers
- Wear sturdy shoes.
