FMR Careers Day 2026

The FMR Careers Day is built for those who are graduating, job searching, or trying to navigate the industry without the networks or opportunities that others may take for granted.

Through direct access to employers, honest conversations, and shared insight, we create a space where talent meets opportunity, and where your next step becomes clearer.

As with all of our events, this session is aimed at a diverse pool of talent — particularly individuals from underrepresented communities. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Those from lower socio-economic backgrounds
• Individuals who have received free school meals
• Those who identify as being from marginalised communities (including ethnic minority backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, or those with disabilities)

Through informal conversations, you’ll gain insight into company culture, career pathways, and what employers are really looking for in candidates.

Brand stands will be open between 2pm and 4:45pm

Info: There’s no single route into the fashion industry, and it’s rarely linear.

In this session, we explore how to navigate the transition from education (or no formal pathway) into your first or second role. Hear from speakers who have built their careers in different ways, and learn how to move from feeling on the outside to finding your place within the industry.

Info: Take part in short, focused conversations with professionals across the industry, gaining tailored advice and actionable guidance.

From communications to sustainability and merchandising, roles are evolving in response to shifting consumer expectations and new technologies. In this session, we explore how you can stay adaptable, build relevant skills, and position yourself ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Info: Following the main event, we will continue the conversation with a panel discussion and networking reception at a nearby venue, just a short walk from Mortimer House.

This extended session creates a more relaxed environment to:

- Continue conversations from earlier in the day
