About Julia:
Julia discovered her passion for Flamenco at Espacio Flamenco in Portland under the instruction of Brenna McDonald and Lillie Last. With roots in the South Pacific and a background in Polynesian dance, primarily 'Ori Tahiti' (traditional dance from Tahiti), Julia was drawn to Flamenco's shared traditions of storytelling through music, movement, and rhythm and its deep historic and cultural roots. A trip to Jerez de la Frontera to study Flamenco and travels around Andalucía including to beautiful Cadiz strengthened her passion and inspired her studies at Espacio Flamenco and her solo development.
