Desirée Alvarez is a poet and painter. She is the author of Devil’s Paintbrush, winner of the May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Award, Raft of Flame, winner of Omnidawn’s Lake Merritt Poetry Award, and Oyster Saloon forthcoming from Omnidawn October 2026. Her poetry and visual art are supported by awards from New York Foundation for the Arts, Foundation for Contemporary Art, American Academy of Arts and Letters, and Poets House. She has published in Conduit, Fence Magazine, LitHub, Poetry Daily, Poetry Magazine, The Slowdown Podcast and many anthologies, including Other Voices: New Latina Poetry, edited by Cynthia Cruz. Alvarez teaches at The Juilliard School and CUNY.
Alisha Mascarenhas is a poet and occasional translator, and the author of A Catalogue of Risk (Wendy's Subway, 2025).
Silvina López Medin was born in Buenos Aires and lives in Croton on Hudson, NY. She has published five books of poetry including That Salt on the Tongue to Say Mangrove (tr. Jasmine V. Bailey, Carnegie Mellon University Press) and Poem That Never Ends (Essay Press Book Award). She co-translated Anne Carson’s Eros the Bittersweet into Spanish, and Sergio Chejfec’s The Month of the Flies into English. She teaches in the MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish at NYU and in the MFA in Creative Writing in English at Pratt Institute and Columbia University, and is an editor at Ugly Duckling Presse. In March 2027 she’ll be presenting her performance What Seems Motionless, Waits at Dia Chelsea.
Sarah Riggs is the author of eight books of poetry in English, including: Pomme & Granite (2015), winner of the 1913 Poetry Prize, Eavesdrop (Chax, 2020), The Nerve Epistle (Roof Books, 2021), and most recently Lines (Winter Editions, 2025). She has translated and co-translated seven books of contemporary French poetry into English, including Etel Adnan's TIME (Nightboat, 2019), recipient of the Griffin International Poetry Prize and the Best Translated Book Award in 2020.
Elizabeth Zuba is a writer, translator, and art book editor from NY. Her most recent book of poetry Where Is Everyone! won the 2024 Minds on Fire Book Prize from Conduit Books.
