Conducted by Dr. Mendoza, the FIU Symphony Orchestra and Choirs bring Bach’s Magnificat to life with choral and orchestral brilliance.About this Event
The Gift of Love reflects on Christmas as a season shaped by generosity, tenderness, and the impulse to give of ourselves to others. Through familiar carols and J.S. Bach’s luminous Magnificat in D, performed with the FIU Symphony Orchestra, University Singers and Concert Choir explore love not simply as something we feel, but as something we offer, receive, and carry forward. Both intimate and jubilant, the program celebrates the ways love can arrive quietly, transform what it touches, and become a gift passed from one person to another.
