AboutThis is an offering to practice the Underscore, a unique opportunity to deepen the practice and research of contact improvisation.
As there will be many first-timers, we will provide more guidance and structure than is typical of an Underscore, with the idea that we learn and grow together into the form until we take it on more independently.
This is a long form dance improvisation structure, created by one of the pioneers of CI, Nancy Stark Smith.
A few things to note:
1. It is best to have a few classes of CI under your belt before attempting an Underscore.
2. Please come on time, and stay for the entire duration of the session. This helps to build a container for us all to explore.
