The monthly in-person gathering for the First Friday Book Synopsis --
Synopses of 2 Best-selling Business Books
About this Event
In our 29th year — over 680 books presented!
I do the reading. You get the insights!
Since April 1998, the First Friday Book Synopsis has brought lifelong learners together each month to learn from some of the best books and thinkers in business.
At each gathering, Randy Mayeux presents two comprehensive book synopses, with detailed handouts capturing the key ideas, lessons, and takeaways.
You do NOT need to read the books!
Come for the learning. Come for the connections. And, if you join us in person, enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast at the Park City Club.
“My synopses are almost like getting your whole team to read a book together, which prompts and informs your own conversations on how to implement key lessons from the book. Lifelong learning in real time.” — Randy Mayeux
The two books for November 6:
Co-Existence: The Next Phase of AI by Ethan Mollick (the author of Co-Intelligence)
AI is no longer a future issue; it is a present leadership challenge. Ethan Mollick explores how people and organizations can work wisely with AI in this next phase of business and work.
What Could Possibly Go Right?: The Essential Journey to Scale an Enduring Culture — Danny Meyer
Culture does not scale by accident. Danny Meyer draws on decades of leadership to show how strong values, hospitality, and disciplined leadership can build an enduring organization.
Two books. One morning. A wealth of ideas you can put to work.
The First Friday Book Synopsis is designed for people who believe that lifelong learning matters — and who want great ideas they can actually use.
This registration is for our in-person gathering at the Park City Club. The presentations are also streamed live on Zoom.
