WE NEED YOU!!!! Hey guys…. I’M BACK !! Yay!! I’ve missed you guys so much!! I’m starting to feel better and figure things out with me so I’m looking forward to being back out there making a difference where I can!
With that being said , I have been approached with an exciting opportunity to share the love and bring some Christmas cheer to some special folks! I was approached by the staff at The Harbor House (Harbor House of Louisville is a nonprofit intergenerational life center located in the Southwest area of Louisville (Dixie Highway area), dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, seniors, and children of all abilities) to help plan their first ever Christmas Fashion show! The event will take place on 12/12 at the Harbor House. (Think of this event along the same lines as Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine, that’s our target group of participants). The Christmas fashion show will feature residents along with our volunteer royalty showcasing their favorite winter fashions! The event will take place in the afternoon, 3p-4:30.
We need volunteers to walk as participants, help direct traffic/line-up, and volunteers to help in their on site salon with SIMPLE hair and makeup possibly if needed. After the fashion show, the residents will be attending their annual Christmas party so they will be dressed to impress for a fun evening.
At the request of the Harbor House, volunteers need to be 14 yrs or older to volunteer. Queens will have their own dressing area and snacks and refreshments will be provided. Arrival will be at 12:30p to set up and help prepare the residents. We should wrap up around 4:30p. Also our resident participants walking in the show is capped at no more than 20. Please feel free to reach out with questions and I hope to see you guys there!! Much love to yall!!
