In Support of Clare and Verity who are running the London Marathon in aid of The Firefighters Charity. This beautiful once operational mill has been present on the grounds since the early 1500’s, although some parts of this historic building dates to the late 1700’s. The Mill was fitted with a fully functional turbine in 1924 and generated power for the town, up until the early 1930’s. The milling continued here into the 1960’s, after which it diversified into the milling of whiting and later glue.
Absolutely brimming with activity during all of our previous visits, it never fails to surprise us.

As a retired Firefighter here in North Wales, its a charity close to my heart. when I was asked to host this investigation, I just couldn't resist.
Clare is a serving Firefighter in Chirk, whilst her daughter Verity is a Fire Cadet also based in Chirk.
