Fire Cider 🔥 🧄 🍯 Tonic for Fortifying our Systems in the Cold Season
Gather around the table together at the Hornbeam at one of our November sessions, to chop pungent and vitamin-rich fruits, roots & vegetables and aromatic antimicrobial herbs to infuse in fermented apple cider vinegar for a home and kitchen winter food-medicine.
We'll discuss and learn the specific powers and health balance benefits of the ingredients, concoct a stock for the Apothecary and bring a jar to make your own remedy for home use. Share in the collective memory and practice of communal seasonal readying, poly-plant connection and warming togetherness bringing stories and experiences. Take with you the knowledge and method to share in your circles.
Our Apothecary shop of dried herbs and remedies will also be open from 10am-4pm and you can buy from a wide selection of seasonal preparations including balms and tea blends.

For greater equity of access to this herbal healthcare practice, we offer these sessions at the Hornbeam on a sliding scale, meaning different price tickets to enable participation at different financial capacities. If you are comfortably able to pay at the higher price levels, this supports others with less money to be able to pay the lower price levels. Some info & guidance here about this model
If you are not able to pay any of the rates, or the lower cost tickets have sold out and you want to come but can't pay the higher cost ones, please get in touch with us as no-one is turned away for lack of funds. The Hornbeam venue does have a capacity limit so this will be a factor in how many extra people we can fit - as it can also feel really crowded with more than 18-20 people!
