Twenty-five years after the devastating fire that struck Peterborough Cathedral in 2001, join us for a special evening reflecting on one of the most significant events in the Cathedral's recent history.Through a series of talks, personal reflections and discussion, this event will explore the night of the fire, the remarkable restoration and recovery that followed, and the lasting impact it has had on the Cathedral and its community.
Hear from those directly involved in responding to the fire, alongside leading voices in heritage, archaeology, art history and interpretation. Discover how understanding of the Cathedral's internationally significant painted nave ceiling has developed over the past quarter-century, and learn how contemporary community projects continue to reinterpret this remarkable story for new audiences.
