About this Event
Join us on a Sunday afternoon at our usual spot in The Pilot, where you will be provided with lino cutting tools, an A5 block of lino, guidance, printing ink and A5 paper.
It is strongly advised to have a design in mind before the session and bonus points if it's printed out for easy tracing. Keep in mind that lino prints in reverse (like a stamp), so this is especially important if your design includes text. The less time you spend planning/carving the more time you have to make prints!
The session will run for 2.5 hours, with a small buffer at the end for extra printing time if needed. You’ll go home with a set of your own hand-printed pieces, plus your lino block to keep creating with after the event.
And much like our life drawing sessions, you can grab a drink from the bar!
A few more important things...
Our inks are waterbased, however, please wear something you don't mind getting messy. You will also be using sharp (ish) tools so please be careful, a quick safety briefing will be given at the start of the event. Our lino blocks contain latex so please get in touch if you have an allergy and we can provide alternative blocks.
