A Barn Dance is Coming to Victoria! 🎻Beacon Ridge Productions is delighted to present Fiddle & Thistle for an old-fashioned barn dance with a fresh West Coast spirit!
Join us Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 pm at St. Matthias Church Hall for an evening of fantastic live music, dancing, laughter and community.
Never been to a barn dance? Perfect! You don’t need to know the dances before you arrive. Caller Cohan Lyne will teach and call the dances as you go, so beginners can jump right in. Come on your own, bring a partner, or round up a group of friends.
Meet Fiddle & Thistle
Led by Q Brooke Bachand, Fiddle & Thistle brings together a terrific group of Victoria musicians for a high-energy evening of traditional dance music:
Q Brooke Bachand — fiddle & songs
Charlie Gannon — piano & guitar
Ben Garrison — mandolin
Cohan Lyne — fiddle, dance teaching & calling
Expect driving fiddle tunes, infectious rhythms and the kind of live music that makes it very difficult to sit still.
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or have absolutely no idea what you’re doing, you’re welcome on the dance floor. Cohan will walk everyone through the dances, then the band takes it away!
