About The Artists:
❄️Devon Lewis of Shoemaker Pyroshop has been burning art since 2019.
❄️Rene Venegas of Galleon’s Gold is a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah.
❄️Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth has always had a passion for creating things. She loves marbling, hand dyeing and creating clothes, jewelry and household items. She says “My heart delights in creating something new so I tend to explore a variety of arts. I hope that you feel that same joy while using your new purchase.” We have been featured in the Huffington Post, VEIN Magazine, Indie Ogden, Standard Examiner, Good Things Utah, Fox 13 News and a variety of blogs and more. Stephanie also teaches a wide variety of classes at The Local Artisan Collective.
❄️Jenny Venegas has always found joy in learning and creating through what many refer to as “domestic arts” — sewing, quilting, canning, and embroidery, to name a few. After taking a break from her creative endeavors for many years, she’s gradually returned to her roots with her brand, Aunt GG’s which is inspired by her Great-Aunts Grace and Glady. Jenny creates comforting handmade goods for the kitchen, home and patio.
❄️Gaye Hurst started crocheting and sewing Barbie clothes as a teenager and has dabbled in many different things since, excelling in all of them, just trying herself and her hands busy. She has made lampwork beads, tried her hand at glass fusing, mosaics, ceramics, toll painting, counted Cross-stitch, polymer clay and currently seed beading (but she is sure there is more art mediums she has used). She likes working with glass, whether it is nipping pieces for a mosaic, making beads or stitching seed beads into an intricate pattern.
