Calling all feminists and trivia fans! Please report for a night of frivolity and fierceness as we fight it out for who knows the most about women who get shit done.With a new venue but the same hot competition, who will take home the highly coveted Hunter Workers Women's Committee Shield this year? Will the Steel City Slags make a triumphant return after being knocked from their 3 year winning streak? Or will the Frayed Hems be able to defend their crown?
When: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Where: The Courtyard, Club Charlestown
Cost: $20 full price/$15 concession
Time: Doors open 6.30pm/Trivia starts at 7.30pm
You can grab dinner from the bistro and/or drinks from the bar. There will be prizes a-plenty. For first and second place, for fancy dress, for buying a raffle ticket and for just showing up and having fun.
Fancy dress, while not mandatory, is strongly recommended. Come dressed as your favourite feminist and your contribution will be both appreciated and acknowledged. You may even win a prize!
We will also be running a donation drive to collect much needed items for Hunter-based Domestic & Family Violence services. We would like everyone who is attending trivia to bringing an item to donate towards this if you are able. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small – every bit helps!
Types of items to donate, include:
TOILETRIES: Sanitary items, toilet paper, tissues, shampoo and conditioner, soap, shower gel, deodorant (including teenage boys), toothpaste, toothbrushes (adults and kids), moisturiser, sunscreen, lip balm.
GIFT VOUCHERS:$10 - $20 from Big W; Kmart; Coles, Woolworths, ALDI etc.
**Funds raised will go towards the Hunter Workers Women's Committee and assist in putting on local events such as the Newcastle International Women's Day March and more awesome trivia nights.
***10% of all monies raised will be donated to Hunter-based Domestic & Family Violence Services.
