About this Event
Discover how to move with comfort, clarity, and ease in this 4-week introductory Feldenkrais series.
What is the Feldenkrais Method?
The Feldenkrais Method is a form of somatic (body-minded) education that uses gentle, mindful movement to retrain the brain and nervous system. Unlike yoga or fitness classes, Feldenkrais isn't about stretching or straining. Instead, it uses small, slow, and relaxing movement sequences to help you become aware of habits that cause tension. By shifting how you move, you rewire the body-brain connection to find new, effortlessly efficient ways of sitting, standing, walking, and everything in between!
What to Expect
- Gentle Floor Lessons: You will lie comfortably on a mat while being guided through gentle movements entirely via verbal instructions—no complex poses to copy or rigid postures to maintain.
- A Curious, No-Pressure Space: There is no "right" way to do a movement; the focus is entirely on your own comfort and self-discovery.
- Brain-Body Rewiring: You will learn how to use less effort to achieve greater freedom of movement.
By the end of this 4-week series, you will walk away with:
- Practical tools to release tension and manage pain in daily life.
- A calmer nervous system and reduced physical anxiety.
- Increased vitality, flexibility, and a lighter, more grounded posture.
- A deeper connection to how your body moves and breathes.
No prior experience is necessary. Wear warm, comfortable clothes that you can easily move in. Space is limited to ensure a supportive environment, so reserve your spot today!
