Feed the Fire offers an intimate look at what inspires poets to create, what keeps them writing when life feels heavy, and how vulnerability can become a source of expression. After the film screening, we sit with the director of Feed the Fire in an open dialogue on poetry, self-expression and community.Serena Daodu is a filmmaker, poet and scientist. Her writing is a refuge and a mirror, a space where she finds herself. Weaving life’s complexities with storytelling, she paints a reflection of the beauty in her community. Her first short film, ‘Feed the Fire’, is a two-part documentary series which celebrates poets and their devotion to their art. Starring poets Lara Grace Ilori and Tifany MarSah, these mini-documentaries encourage a deeper look into their source of passion and creativity.
