It's time to get festive, dancers - the Fine City Swing Christmas Dance is back for 2026, and this year, all the way down from London town, we have the fabulous Harry Evans & His Flying Squirrels!Harry Evans is a multi-instrumentalist who is a familiar face to many of us of the swing scene, as he's always popping up behind a trumpet, double bass and sousaphone all over the dancing world. A regular performer with the Shirt Tail Stompers, the Cable Street Rag Band, Alex Mendham & His Orchestra and many, many more, Harry is bringing his own Flying Squirrels to his home county of Norfolk for our Fine City Swing Christmas celebration. With their hearts in the 1930s and 1940s jazz and swing, and a style reminiscent of Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong's All-Stars, there's no better band to jingle your festive bells!
In addition to this, Harry is also a great Shag and Lindy Hop dancer, so he knows exactly how to keep a floor packed tighter than a Nutcracker's breeches.
Supporting the Flying Squirrels is perennial Fine City favourite, DJ David 'The Mailman' Willis, who may no longer be posting letters to Father Christmas but who will still be delivering festive tunes all afternoon.
And of course, it wouldn't be a Fine City Swing Christmas dance without mince pies, sparkle and fizz and a sprinkling of festive surprises...
Tickets are £22 online and £20 in person and will go on general sale from www.finecityswing.co.uk on Monday 19th October. They can also be purchased in person at the Fine City Swing tea dance on Sunday 18th October too. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the Christmas dance and will not be available to buy on the door. This event always sells out very quickly so make sure you snap up your tickets straight away.
We can't wait to twirl our tinsel with you on Sunday 13th December 2026. We're dusting off our baubles already!
