About this Event
Have you ever dreamed of becoming a model, or simply wanted to feel more confident and expressive? This is your moment to step into the spotlight!
Join the free Empowerment Catwalk Workshop guided by Yorvique “DOA” Macaay and discover how moving your body can become a form of self-expression, empowerment, and unity. Through movement and catwalk training, you will explore personal growth, build self-confidence, and find new ways to connect and inspire others.
The workshop is also a chance to prepare for the 18th edition of the FASHIONCLASH Festival, taking place from 13 to 15 November in Maastricht. Explore exhibitions, events, and film screenings that bring together art, fashion, and performance, with many activities free to attend. Discover the full programme at www.fashionclash.nl
And of course, there’s the FASHIONCLASH Afterparty: Childhood Fantasies, Surreal Realities! Step into a neon wonderland filled with glow sticks, glow paint, and colourful accessories, where you can get creative with friends between dance sessions. Look up to discover a ceiling of floating foil that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, creating a dreamy atmosphere to dive into. Add bubbles, foam, and balloons, and the dance floor becomes a world straight out of your childhood dreams.
Get ready to dance to the sounds of DJ duo Nello & Leny, mixing dancehall and African house, followed by Emiljajaja, bringing Latin American sounds and electronic beats to the dance floor. Expect spoken word by Puss’ Poetry, a drag performance by La Monroy and their gigantic guest, and dance and designs by Colombian designer Feliz and streetwear of Tears. All wrapped up in a whole lot of glitter, fantasy, and chaos. Early Bird Tickets are now live! Get yours at www.fashionclash.nl
Come as you are, embrace your individuality, and discover the power of being your truest self!

About the workshop host:
Yorvique Macaay, better known as 'Dictator Of Art', is a multidisciplinary artist from Curaçao. He explores the balance between freedom and power, showing that these forces can work together instead of against each other. The eye, often central in his work, symbolizes his sharp vision and strong sense of purpose. With his deep attention to detail, he is unafraid to take on any social theme, even those seen as taboo or controversial. His creativity is deeply shaped by his multicultural upbringing, where many languages, values, and traditions influenced him and continue to shine through in his art. Yorvique has created a bold movement style called ‘Muse Seduction’. Through runway techniques, positive affirmations, and dance, he helps people build confidence and inner strength. His mission is clear: to help you reclaim your story, stand tall in your power, and become the muse of your own life.
