About this Event
Far Solar return to the live stage to celebrate the release of their second album, A Billion Small Mistakes.
Formed by David and Mark (their previous band Coda became the first unsigned act A-listed on UK commercial radio) Far Solar have spent the intervening years building something bigger: widescreen rock, new wave sophistication and atmospheric hooks that don't let go.
Their debut Perfect World, mastered at Abbey Road and praised by Absolute Radio's Claire Sturgess, announced a band worth paying attention to. A Billion Small Mistakes is the sound of the band fully hitting their stride.
Expect new tracks alongside the Perfect World favourites you already know, played loud and live at one of Kingston's best venues.
DJ and originals set: LINES. Combining electronica and guitars to create tunes to make you move. Influences include Floating Points, James Blake and Etienne de Crecy.LINES's DJ sets run the gamut from indie to house to dub with everything in between, as long as it has a vibe.
Support: Blood Like Wine. Expect high energy, brooding melodies and jumping grunge inspired floor fillers from Fighting Cocks stalwarts Blood Like Wine, they love to blast it out loud, think Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age.
A night for people who believe guitar music still has something to say.
