About this Event
The FICare at EPIQ Workshop, held in partnership with the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation (CPBF), offers a dedicated session on advancing Family Integrated Care (FICare) as a quality improvement strategy in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
FICare is a family-centred approach that fosters active collaboration between families and healthcare providers. It has demonstrated benefits including improved infant growth, reduced parental stress, better breastfeeding outcomes, and shorter hospital stays. This workshop aims to equip NICU teams with tools and strategies to implement or strengthen FICare practices, enhance communication, build trust, and align clinical care with family values
