Do you love the way the sun shines through the vibrant colors of a stained glass suncatcher in the window? Have you ever wanted to try making your own suncatcher but were intimidated by the process? This is your chance to try this fascinating art form in a beginner-friendly and supportive environment.
You will learn all the basics beginning with choosing your pattern, cutting and grinding the glass, fitting and copper foiling, soldering, adding hobby came, and cleaning up your piece to show it off. This is all taught in our one day workshop.
You will choose from three festive holiday patterns:
Christmas tree with beaded garland
Angel with wire work halo
Snowflake with beaded accents
These patterns are a bit more intricate than our summer and fall workshops, so we’re adding an extra hour to the class for those who need more time. Don’t have experience with stained glass? That’s OK! We are here to help you through it.
Your instructor, Nancy Jackson from Kay’s Glass Studio, will expertly guide you through each step. In just a few hours you will complete your own handmade beautiful work of art.
Due to the risk of injury this workshop is geared toward adults 18 and over, however artistic teens can be considered with adult supervision. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
