Join Coplin Health Systems and VFW Post 9033 on Saturday, November 14th, at the Parkersburg National Guard Armory as we come together to honor and celebrate the veterans who have served our country, their families, and the community that stands behind them. 🇺🇸Spend the day enjoying live music, food trucks, veteran and community resources, and family-friendly fun. Stompin' Hillbilly from VFW Post 9033 will kick off the entertainment as DJ, followed by live music from Pickin On Country from 12:00–3:00 p.m. 🎶
Families can also look forward to free carnival-style games and activities for kids, with opportunities to earn tickets and visit the prize table! Participating community organizations will be getting in on the fun with activities at their booths, too. 🎟️🎪
Come hungry! Aunt K's Food Truck and JS Barbeque will be on site with food available for purchase. Coplin Health Systems' Mobile Health Unit will also be there providing first aid and free water throughout the event. 🍔
To close out the day, VFW Post 9033 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony. Community members who have American flags that are ready to be respectfully retired are invited to bring them to the event, where Post 9033 will collect them for proper retirement.
Any donations collected during the event will benefit the WVUP Veterans Resource Center.
Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or simply want to come out and show your support, we invite you to spend the day with us celebrating service, family, and community.
