NO LOAF, NO ENTRY
Join us for The Loov's first ever Loaf Exchange and Contest, hosted by Lala of Dar Supper Club and Liliana!
˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ the plan:
You show up with a homemade loaf (e.g., banana bread, pumpkin bread, the sky’s the limit). You set it out on a table. You mingle with your fellow bakers and check out our fall festival themed sideshows. You receive a box and collect slices from other bakers. You go home with 12 NEW slices of quick bread!
˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ the loaves:
Bring classic quick breads, fancy ones, savoury loaves, any loaf of your invention,(surprise us). Just bring a minimum of one loaf to exchange! And please remember to SLICE your loaf per the diagram below!
˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ the contest:
Submit your loaf to get judged! Prettiest Loaf, Most Inventive Loaf, and Best Classic Loaf receive prizes. Judges TBA.
˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ the ticket:
Your $25 ticket covers the cost of the space rental, labour, activities, prizes, little snacks, and supplies for the night.
RSVP through Partiful and Venmo @Lala-Thaddeus. There MAY BE tickets available day of at the door if we don't sell out.
Please give your ticket to a friend if you can't come as they are nonrefundable!
˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚ getting here:
72 Joy Street Studio is a 15 min walk from the Union Square station in Somerville and a 2 min walk from the East Somerville station. Feel free to come in through the back garden and then check in with an event organizer!
Please arrive at 4pm to set up your loaf, mingle with your fellow bakers, and check out our fall festival themed ~sideshows~. We start the exchange around 5pm and keep going until the slices are gone!
