About this Event
Practice in Color: Fall Into Community
What happens when we actually workshop community together?
Practice in Color is back, and this fall we’re bringing BIPOC mental health professionals, therapists, and healers together for an interactive evening of community-building, resource-sharing, and collaboration.
Instead of another networking event where we exchange names and Instagram handles, we want to actually build something together that helps us and the folks we serve.
Throughout the evening, we’ll map the resources already within our community: referral sources, organizations, services, spaces, skills, programs, opportunities, and connections. We’ll also identify what’s missing. What resources are your clients constantly asking for? What have you struggled to find? What space, knowledge, or connection could you offer someone else?
Then, we’ll bring it all together to begin creating a community-built resource guide that participants can actually use, contribute to, and share with the people they serve.
This will be interactive, creative, and collaborative, with plenty of space to actually get to know one another along the way.
Come with a resource, a need, an idea, or just yourself.
This event is completely free, with complimentary mocktails and refreshments.
Let’s see what we can build when we put our resources in the same room.
Community. Collaboration. Coalition building.
