A Fall Equinox somatic breathwork journey — an evening of tea, reflection, and guided breathwork to release, restore balance, and set intent
About this Event

The Fall Equinox

The Fall Equinox marks a moment of balance (equal day and night), before we move into the darker half of the year.

As summer's excitement settles and kids head back to school, this time of year is a natural invitation to get rooted and intentional with how we spend the season ahead.

In nature, this is also harvest time! It's a season to take stock and feel gratitude for what's grown, and to consciously release what we don’t want in the season ahead.

The Experience

This somatic breathwork journey is a space to sit with that reflection — to clear what’s in the way and reconnect with the inner wisdom that can guide you into the chapter ahead.

We’ll open in circle over apple cinnamon tea harvested from the land I tend, explore reflection questions, and set an intention for the journey before moving into the breathwork practice together.

The Breathwork Journey

This style of breathwork is a form of conscious connected breathwork, which means breathing in a continuous rhythm without pauses between the inhale and exhale. It is also somatic; soma means “body” in Ancient Greek, so our focus is primarily on the body, the breath and physical sensations, rather than focusing only on the mind.

This style of breathwork can support cathartic release, allowing stored emotions, tension, or energy to move through the body. Everyone’s experience is different, and there is no expectation to have a particular kind of release.

Before we begin, I’ll walk you through the breathing techniques, explain what you may experience, and answer any questions so you feel comfortable and supported. I'll be with you every step of the way.

We’ll begin with grounding before gradually moving into a deeper, more active breathing practice, and close with a grounding meditation and time to integrate. Afterward, we’ll gather for light snacks, with space to journal and reflect on your journey.

No prior experience is needed. Somatic breathwork can be a beautiful introduction to breathwork, and you’ll be guided through the entire practice.

Caleigh Campbell is a somatic breathwork facilitator and land regenerator. She spends much of her time in Thornbury, stewarding her late grandparents’ apple orchard using permaculture and regenerative practices. She weaves the wisdom of nature into her work, creating grounded and supportive spaces for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and listen to their own inner wisdom.
