What happens when love must confront an ocean, a pandemic, and two lives unfolding along different paths? In Face Love (Amor en toda la cara), Gerald Fillmore invites audiences to explore this question through a romantic comedy that transcends borders, cultures, and languages to tell a profoundly human story.

Danny, a Spaniard living in Los Angeles, travels to Madrid to renew his visa. What should have been a brief stay turns into an unexpected separation when the pandemic closes international borders. While Danny finds himself stranded in Spain, Ana, his Mexican American partner, discovers in Los Angeles that she is pregnant. From that moment on, they must learn to sustain their love across the distance while confronting an uncertain future neither could have anticipated.

With humor, tenderness, and an intercultural perspective, the film explores the complexities of contemporary relationships, migration, cultural identity, and what it means to belong to more than one place.

The event will feature Gerald Fillmore, the film’s writer, director, and lead actor, alongside actress Mela Green. Following the screening, audience members will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation with both guests about the film’s story, its characters, and the creative process behind the production.
